Keko is an area within Dar es Salaam where we can clearly see the difference between two worlds (the privilege and the non-privilege), two classes of people, two different communities and the one above is the one that makes no one proud off because unemployment level is very high, crime is a constant reality, poverty and famine is part of the daily life of those living in this area, and worse of all, the hope of a better future isn’t there for the children who we believe to be the future of our nation are lacking education and proper care in most aspects. Whose problem is it? We don’t have the answer to this question but we know that if we do nothing to assist this community to come out of these situation things will only get worse, we decided to do our part to contribute to the life improvement of people living in Keko area and we won’t stop there!
Last October we gathered more than 1000 children besides more than 300 adults from Keko area at the entrance of Keko’s Township and they were offered free hair cut, medical assistance, medical counseling about HIV, school kits were distributed for the children, condoms were distributed to those in need and demonstrations of how to use it were also given and at the end everyone had a nice meal.
The Pastor prayed for the community and asked God to bless them all.
People were very happy and grateful for everything offered to them.
