Faith to give and faith to receive.
With all things in life, both spiritual and physical, it's a rule that those who give with an open hand are more likely to receive the best in return. The act of giving an offering also follows that rule, as it is faith in action.
In the same way that the Lord Jesus promises forgiveness for all those who are willing to forgive, He also promises that, in return for offerings, you will never go without. Forgiveness is not a matter of sympathy but an action of faith. You can measure a person's faith by the quality of his offering. Those who sow generously do so because they have the faith that they will receive much more in return. If you have the faith to reach a certain target in life, then you will receive much more in return. If you have the faith to reach a certain target in life, then you will stop at nothing until you reach that target. The same happens with faith in the word of God. Those who truly believe, commit themselves to it wholeheartedly. When a person has the courage to give, he deserves to receive. Spiritually speaking, faith is the reasoning behind every action of giving. That's why people are able to give courageously and as result they also receive in large amounts.
Those who forgive deserve to be forgiven, but those who do not forgive do not deserve forgiveness themselves. Those who do not judge deserve not to be judged but those who do judge deserve judgment. Those who do not condemn do not deserve to be condemned but those who condemn deserves condemnation. Those who give deserve to receive (in good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over), but those who do not give do not deserve to receive anything. Through these examples we see that faith is always accompanied by action. As Jesus said, "These signs follow those who believe."
In other words, signs will follow those who believe wholeheartedly that they are ready to act on their belief. Peter had the faith to believe in Jesus' word and that's why he became the only man, apart from Jesus, to actually walk on water. The secret to receiving blessings from God is to put your faith into practice. And the practice of faith includes giving offerings. Have courage to give your offering, believing that what you will receive will be in good measure. And what is a good measure for God? If God were just a man, a good measure might be a very limited amount. However, being almighty, omniscient and omnipresent, God has no limits! Nothing God does is insignificant, so be sure that if you act out faith, then you will see His greatness.
